Leicester City’s Maresca Suggests Ndidi Might Extend Stay

In a recent update, Enzo Maresca, the manager of Leicester City, has touched upon Wilfred Ndidi’s potential future with the club.

There have been discussions about the risk of the Foxes possibly losing the dynamic midfielder to rival clubs this summer.

Ndidi’s current contract with Leicester City is set to expire at the end of June, and as of now, talks about a contract extension have not yet begun.

However, Maresca seems to be already planning ahead with the Nigerian player in mind.

During an interview with Leicester City Mercury, Maresca mentioned, “I’m already looking towards the future. It’s crucial to start considering how we can elevate our performances next season. Hamza might step in; Wout (Faes) is another potential option; and Wilf (Ndidi) could also play a vital role in that capacity.”

Notably, Ndidi has recorded a total of six goals and six assists in 36 matches across various competitions for Leicester City during the 2023/24 season.
