Leicester City Searches for Ndidi’s Replacement

The replacement for Wilfred Ndidi has been identified by Leicester City.

According to Caughtoffside, the Foxes are considering a move for Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.

With a contract at St. James’ Park until the summer of 2025, Longstaff might be available at a reasonable price next summer.

26-year-old Longstaff has appeared in 24 Premier League matches for Newcastle this season, contributing to six goals.

Ndidi’s future at the King Power Stadium is uncertain, with top clubs in the Premier League and overseas, such as Barcelona, showing interest in signing him as a free agent.

West Ham is reportedly looking at him as a replacement for Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips, while Crystal Palace, Tottenham, Wolves, and Aston Villa are also keeping tabs on him.

Juventus is another club rumored to be interested in the Nigerian international, and more suitors may emerge in the coming days.
