Call from Kwara State Governor to Christians for Unity Promotion

Encouraging unity and togetherness, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, urges Christians nationwide to use the occasion of Easter to strengthen their faith in God and come together for the betterment of the nation and collective progress.

In a Friday Easter message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor extended his well wishes to the Christian community in Kwara State and all over Nigeria as they celebrate Easter.

Highlighting the significance of Easter, he emphasized timeless values such as love, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and the victory of good over evil manifested at various times.

Reflecting on the enduring impact of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and the legacy he left for humanity, Governor AbdulRazaq called for a deep contemplation on these teachings during this period and beyond.

He also called on all citizens to take this opportunity to strengthen their faith, unite for the betterment of the nation, and support each other in upholding righteousness and justice in society.

The governor conveyed his warm greetings to the Christian community for a joyous Easter celebration.

In a related development, the Federal Government, under the auspices of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, declared Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, 2024, as public holidays for Christians to observe Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.
