Kogi Monarch Calls on Religious Leaders to Increase Prayers for Nigeria on Easter

In his Easter message, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammadu Kebir Maikarfe IV, the Maigari of Lokoja, encourages Christians to contemplate the life of Christ during the Easter celebration. He emphasizes that Christ’s sacrifice was for the salvation of mankind, urging Christians to emulate his example for a better society.

The Maigari calls on Christian and Muslim leaders to escalate prayers for the betterment of Nigeria. He highlights that the simultaneous fasting of both religious groups during this period is not a mere coincidence but a divine intervention ordained by God.

In addition, he appeals to the Federal Government to consider reopening the borders to ease the hardships faced by the populace.

Furthermore, he advises Muslims to utilize the ongoing Ramadan to pray for the nation, especially for the success of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration in Kogi State. He emphasizes the importance of religious adherence and prayer for the advancement of society.
