Journalist Daniel Ojukwu Freed After 10 Days of Abduction

Following a 10-day ordeal, journalist Daniel Ojukwu, affiliated with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), has been released from captivity.

Ojukwu was reportedly taken by the Intelligence Response Team of the Inspector General of Police before reclaiming his freedom on Friday.

The confirmation of his release was made public by FIJ on their website.

On Wednesday, Ojukwu mysteriously vanished, with his phones turned off and his whereabouts unbeknownst to those around him.

Concerned about his disappearance, FIJ filed a missing person report with the local police stations.

After 24 hours without contact, a private investigator hired by FIJ traced the last known location of Ojukwu’s phones to an address in Isheri Olofin, suspected to be the place where he was initially taken by the police.
