Jamie Foxx Makes Initial Public Appearance Following Hospitalization

The well-known American actor, Jamie Foxx, seems to be in good health following his mysterious medical issue in April.

In a video acquired by TMZ, the actor of “Day Shift” could be seen with a smile on his face and giving the peace sign while cruising along the Chicago River on a boat last Sunday. For his weekend outing, the 55-year-old star of “Ray” wore a full black outfit and donned aviator sunglasses.

He was accompanied by at least two other passengers. This was Foxx’s first appearance in public since being discharged from the hospital.

He has yet to publicly acknowledge the health scare. According to his eldest daughter Corinne, who posted about it on social media, Foxx was admitted to a hospital in Georgia on April 12th.

“We wanted to inform everyone that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, thanks to prompt action and excellent care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she wrote at the time.

Corinne is Foxx’s daughter from his previous marriage to Connie Kline. He also has a 14-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, Annalise Bishop. The seriousness of the actor’s unspecified condition prompted his family to travel and be by his side during that time. Prior to the medical emergency, he was in the process of filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz.

The severity of his undisclosed condition was significant enough for his loved ones to gather support during his hospitalization. Meanwhile, Diaz continued filming other scenes with Foxx’s body double. It remains uncertain when the star of “Just Mercy” will resume filming on set.

Last month, a relative told Page Six that the secrecy surrounding his condition has raised concerns about the potential impact on his future career. The fate of “Back in Action” is also uncertain.
