JAMB makes it clear that UTME results are not available in paper form

According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, it is important for Nigerians to be cautious of any candidate displaying printed result slips because currently, results are not provided in a paper format.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, mentioned in a statement released on Wednesday that this information is crucial as some people have already started sharing printed result slips on social media platforms.

Unlike last year, the results are currently not accessible on JAMB’s website, as clarified by Benjamin.

He stated, “To check the 2024 UTME result, the only approved method is to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during UTME registration. It is important to make sure that the SIM card is not connected to any data bundle.

“This differs from the process followed last year, hence, the results are currently not available on the official JAMB website.

“Candidates are advised to strictly follow the specified method to access their results. There is no need to visit cybercafes or use third-party services to check their results.

“The public is also alerted to be cautious of individuals who are sharing printed result slips since the results are not provided in paper format, as seen circulating on social media platforms.

“While a significant number of candidates have successfully checked their results, as indicated on our monitoring dashboard, some are still facing difficulties. It is important to follow the correct procedure.”

JAMB announced the release of the 2024 UTME results on Monday.

The Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that the results of 64,624 out of the 1,904,189 candidates who took the examination have been withheld by the board for further investigation.
