Israel confirms the deportation of Greta Thunberg after the approach of the Flotilla ship to Gaza

The Israel government has confirmed Tuesday that the Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has been deported during the day on a flight to France, After the approach in international waters of the ‘Madleen’, part of the Fleeta de la Libertad to the Gaza Strip by the Israeli army.

“Greta Thunberg has just left Israel on a flight to Sweden, with a scale in France”said the Israeli Foreign Ministry in a brief message in its account on social network X, where she has also published two photographs of the 22 -year -old activist sitting in one of the seats of the plane waiting for takeoff.

Previously, the Israeli Executive had advanced that the activists arrested after the approach, an act branded “kidnapping” by the coalition of the Fleeting of Freedom having taken place in international waters, were already at the Ben Gurion airport for their deportation.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry also stressed that those activists – among which the Spanish Sergio Toribio and the French Eurodiputa Rima Hassan – who do not accept to sign the deportation documents would be presented before a court to authorize his expulsion.
