Iran to avenge the death of General killed in US air strike ordered by Donald Trump – President Rouhani

Iran is poised to retaliate following the killing of General Qasem Soleimani in a US air strike ordered by President Donald Trump, according to President Hasan Rouhani.

Rouhani declared Iran’s intention to avenge the death of Soleimani, a Revolutionary Guards commander, in a statement on the Iranian government website. He emphasized that the incident has strengthened the resolve of Iran and other allied nations in opposing what he referred to as “America’s bullying and upholding of Islamic values.”

The Iranian President’s statement also expressed the nation’s mourning over Soleimani’s death and emphasized the determination of Iran and its allies in the region to stand against the actions of the United States. It further condemned the US for the “vile and cowardly act” and characterized it as a sign of America’s “desperation and weakness in the region.”
