“I have pardoned Junior Pope for betraying me,” says Yul Edochie

Yul Edochie, a prominent figure in Nollywood, has disclosed that he has forgiven his former associate, Junior Pope, for what he perceived as a betrayal.

According to recent reports by NewsNow, Yul Edochie had accused the late Junior Pope of backstabbing him, despite the fact that he viewed him as a brother and a reliable friend who had supported him in times of need.

He also mentioned that he didn’t grieve for the deceased actor due to the alleged treachery.

His statements and revelations were met with criticism, with individuals, including his aunt, Rita Edochie, condemning him for harboring animosity towards the departed actor.

Nonetheless, the actor stated that while he has forgiven Junior Pope, the betrayal had deeply wounded him.

Taking to his Instagram account, Edochie wrote, “When discussing forgiveness, I wholeheartedly forgive him. It is truly heartbreaking when a cherished friend, considered as a brother, who has stood by you and demonstrated affection over the years, turns around and repeatedly betrays you without any regret.

“Unfortunately, that is the essence of our world. People are inherently flawed. To make mistakes is human, to forgive is divine. I forgive him and extend my well wishes to his family.”
