Harry Kane: Bayern’s Trophy Failure in UCL

In the eyes of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, not winning the Champions League trophy this season would equate to a failure.

Speaking to the press before their quarter-final second-leg match against Arsenal, Kane highlighted the importance of clinching the Champions League title.

The first leg resulted in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last week.

Following Bayern’s loss of the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen for the first time in 12 years, Kane expressed, “From the club’s perspective, this season would be deemed a disappointment if we end up empty-handed.”

“While the expectations are high for us to secure victories, we must take this experience and channel it towards future success,” Kane continued.

Reflecting on the unpredictable nature of victories and defeats, Kane pointed out, “Success and failure are part of the game. Despite exhibiting a strong performance throughout the season, there’s a likelihood of falling short. Therefore, it’s essential for us to seize the opportunity and elevate this season by claiming the Champions League trophy.”
