Expressing his opinion on the US presidential election, Amichai Chikli, Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs, stated that he would cast his vote in favor of the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, rather than President Joe Biden.
Chikli explained that he believes Biden’s policies and leadership are not favorable and are causing harm to Israel.
He emphasized that in the ongoing conflict with Hamas and Hezbollah, Trump would be more beneficial for the interests of Israel and the Jewish community.
Describing his view on Biden’s leadership, Chikli mentioned, “The US is not projecting strength under [Biden’s] leadership, and it’s harming Israel and other countries.”
He pointed out the repercussions of Biden’s initial response at the beginning of the conflict with Hezbollah and Iran, stating, “He said ‘Don’t’ at the start of the war — to Hezbollah, as well as Iran. We saw the result.”
Concluding his stance on the matter, Chikli expressed, “If I were an American citizen with the right to vote, I’d vote for Trump and Republicans.”
