In light of Manchester City’s 4-0 victory over Brighton that propelled them to 76 points, just one behind Arsenal, manager Pep Guardiola has emphasized that the Premier League title race extends beyond their club and the Gunners.
While City currently holds a game in hand, many have discounted Liverpool’s chances after a 2-0 loss to Everton, leaving them with 74 points.
Guardiola cautions against overlooking the unpredictability of the remaining fixtures, suggesting that both City and Arsenal could face stumbling blocks.
“The title race doesn’t solely involve us and Arsenal.
“Liverpool’s recent back-to-back defeats could happen to Arsenal or to us,” Guardiola pointed out to Sky Sports.
“What matters is that we are still in contention with numerous games left to play,” he added.
