On March 23rd, Umar revealed his positive test and his intention to seek treatment. His decision to openly acknowledge his infection was widely praised by Nigerians.
After nearly two weeks of treatment, Umar announced a favorable update. He disclosed that his latest test results have shown a negative result.
Umar mentioned that a second confirmatory test will be conducted within 48 hours to validate his negative status. Nigerians have been sending best wishes and prayers for his complete recovery.
