Governor Wike’s Demand for Interrogation of Pilots and Close Inspection of Caverton Helicopters’ Base

Governor Nyesom recently led security operatives to the operational base of Caverton Helicopters in Rivers State. He questioned the airline’s pilots regarding their decision to fly people into Rivers state, despite the existing ban on such flights.

Just a few days ago, Governor Wike announced the closure of air, sea, and land borders into the state starting from Thursday, March 26. This action was taken to further contain the spread of the coronavirus in Rivers State.

Photos circulating online captured the moment Governor Wike led security operatives to the airline’s operational base in the state. Alongside demanding the interrogation of the pilots, he also required the airline to provide a list of all passengers it had flown into the state after the ban on air traffic was announced.
