Governor Wike leads security operatives to operational base of Caverton Helicopters, demands interrogation of pilots for flying people into Rivers state

Governor Wike, accompanied by security operatives, visited the operational base of Caverton Helicopters in Rivers State. He questioned the pilots for defying the ban on flying people into the state, which was implemented to curb the spread of coronavirus.

In a recent state-wide address, Governor Wike had announced the closure of air, sea, and land borders into the state starting from March 26. His visit to the airline’s operational base aimed to hold the pilots accountable for their actions and to collect information on passengers flown into the state post the ban.
