Governor Sule: Nasarawa’s Fight Against Bandits and Kidnappers

In a recent statement, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State highlighted the measures his administration has undertaken to eliminate bandits and kidnappers in the region.

During an interview with the press following a courtesy visit to Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Sule emphasized the collaborative efforts of the State Government and the Federal Government in establishing a Military Super Camp in areas previously plagued by criminal activities.

Describing the challenges faced in stabilizing the region, Governor Sule mentioned the poor condition of the roads leading to the hideouts of bandits and kidnappers. Significant road construction projects were subsequently undertaken to improve access to these areas.

Moreover, he highlighted the construction of a vital road connecting Benue to Nasarawa State, utilized by many transporters from the Eastern part of the country. The establishment of a Military Super Camp in the region also ensured a strong military presence deterring criminal elements.

Thanks to these efforts, Governor Sule confidently stated, “All those kinds of kidnappers, bandits, and so on have all left, we don’t have any as far as those areas are concerned.”

Furthermore, Governor Sule emphasized Nasarawa’s reputation as one of the safest states for agricultural activities and other ventures, noting the state’s consistent leadership in various agriculture sectors over the past three years.
