Government Relief Materials Delivered to Kebbi Flood Victims

In response to the recent flood disaster in Kebbi State, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided food and relief supplies to affected individuals.

Following a joint assessment by NEMA and the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency, the distribution was initiated at the request of the state government and local legislators.

An official statement by Aliyu Shehu-Kafindangi, the Head of NEMA’s Sokoto Operation Office, announced the delivery of relief aid to households in 13 local government areas, including Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, Suru, and others.

The relief efforts were aimed at offering support to communities impacted by the disaster, with provisions such as rice, beans, maize, and cooking essentials being distributed.

Additionally, essential items like mosquito nets, blankets, and mats were provided to assist those affected by the floods.

The distribution process was overseen by personnel from the NEMA Sokoto Operations Office, along with officials from the Kebbi State Governor’s Office and federal constituency representatives.
