IPOB Warns of Gov Mbah’s Attempt to Create Crisis in Enugu

In Enugu State, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has raised concerns that Governor Peter Mbah is trying to sow seeds of conflict in what has traditionally been a peaceful region.

Allegations have surfaced suggesting that the state government’s purported plan to alter the demographic makeup by introducing Fulani settlers could lead to unrest.

According to IPOB, any attempts by Mbah’s administration to establish Fulani settlements will be met with strong opposition.

Representing IPOB, spokesperson Emma Powerful conveyed the following message: “Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State and an individual named Friday Nnaji are devising a troubling scheme to inundate the Mbu community in Isi Uzo LGA of Enugu State with foreign Fulani Muslims. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu, is fully aware of this nefarious agenda to alter the demographic composition of Enugu State and will firmly resist it.

“It is evident that Governor Peter Mba is striving to instigate discord in Enugu State by importing foreign extremists, affiliated with the Fulani group. His keenness to execute a pact with the Fulani body known as MACBAN, which involves establishing a Fulani settlement within Enugu State, is a cause for concern.

“The efforts to implement this Fulani settlement initiative are being obstructed by ESN. Governor Peter Mba is wary of being labelled as a sponsor of terrorism, thus he has delegated the aforementioned Friday Nnaji to execute this objectionable scheme.

“Although Friday Nnaji may be an Igbo Muslim, his eagerness to betray his own people by facilitating the influx of radical Hausa-Fulani Muslims into the tranquil Enugu State communities will not go unpunished.

“If Governor Peter Mba and his associate, Friday Nnaji, have embraced Islam, they reserve the liberty to practice their religion without subjecting entire communities in Enugu State to their beliefs. The actions of Governor Peter Mba and Friday Nnaji have sparked unrest within the Mbu Community and throughout Enugu State due to their intentions of swamping the peaceful indigenous settlements with foreign aggressive Fulani Muslims in order to outnumber the indigenous inhabitants.

“It is imperative for the advisers and family members of Governor Peter Mba to urge him to reconsider his course of action.

“IPOB vehemently opposes any endeavor to forcefully alter the demographics of any community in Alaigbo. Governor Peter Mba and Friday Nnaji must abandon their schemes. As long as IPOB retains authority in Biafra Land, the desperate and migratory Fulanis will not succeed in conquering any part of Alaigbo, regardless of the instigators behind this conquest agenda.”
