Rivers Angels from the Nigeria Women Football League are now focusing on the upcoming Super Six playoffs tournament.
In their recent match, Rivers Angels advanced to the Round 16 of the Women’s President Federation Cup after a walkover against Ekiti Queens.
The team from Port Harcourt will be facing off against Heartland Queens, Confluence Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and Nasarawa Amazons in the battle for the 2024 NWFL title.
This highly anticipated playoff event is set to take place at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa from May 18th to 26th, 2024.
“After our intensive training and journey to Asaba for the R32 President Federation Cup match against Ekiti Queens, we received news that our opponents did not attend the match. Consequently, we have officially secured a spot in the R16,” announced the club.
Now, the team is fully focused on gearing up for the Super Six tournament.
