German actor Christian Oliver, two daughters killed in plane crash

The tragic news of the death of German actor Christian Oliver and his two daughters in a plane crash has left the world in shock. The small aircraft they were traveling in crashed into the Caribbean Sea shortly after takeoff. The incident occurred as the plane was en route from Bequia, a small island in the Grenadines, to St Lucia. At the time of the crash, Oliver, aged 51, was on board with his daughters, Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, as well as pilot Robert Sachs.

The local police, Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, confirmed the deaths of the actor, his daughters, and the pilot. Fishing boats, divers, and the coast guard swiftly responded to the scene, where four bodies, including those of Oliver and his daughters, were recovered.

Just days before the tragedy, Oliver had shared a photo on Instagram of a tropical beach with a caption that read, “Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and love… 2024 [here] we come!” indicating that the family was on a vacation.

Christian Oliver, also known as Christian Klepser, had a prolific career with over 60 film and television credits to his name. He appeared in notable movies such as “The Good German,” alongside George Clooney, and the 2008 action-comedy “Speed Racer.” In addition, he had a minor role in the Tom Cruise starrer “Valkyrie.” Early in his career, he featured in the TV series “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” and the movie “The Baby-Sitters Club.” In Germany, he gained fame for his role in the popular cop show “Alarm fur Cobra 11.”
