Following her arrest by the Lagos State Police for breaching a lockdown order due to the Coronavirus, Funke Akindele took to Twitter to share her anguish.
It is worth recalling that the Lagos State Government had imposed a ban on public gatherings of more than 20 people.
However, the actress sparked outrage when a viral video showed her hosting a crowded birthday party for her husband, JJC Skillz, on his 43rd birthday.
Earlier reports from LIB revealed that Funke Akindele was arrested for violating the lockdown restrictions in Lagos, with the police intensifying efforts to apprehend the other individuals seen in the video, including Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and the actress’ husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello (JJC Skillz).
After her arrest, the actress posted a tweet at 7:58 pm, stating:
I just pray I survive this. I’m so broken
