Actress Funke Akindele-Bello and her spouse, Abdulrasheed Bello, also known as JJC Skillz, have acknowledged their guilt in defying the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing.
The couple appeared before a Chief Magistrate court in Ogba on Monday, April 6. They were arraigned by the Lagos State Government and the state police command for violating the lockdown order aimed at controlling the spread of coronavirus. The charge was brought forward by the Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo.
Funke and JJC were apprehended for hosting a house party at their Amen estate home on Saturday, April 4, despite the restrictions on movement and social distancing orders imposed by the state government as part of measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus.
After the charges were read to them, Akindele and her husband both pleaded guilty. They are now awaiting the magistrate’s verdict.
