At least four people lost their lives in an attack carried out by terrorists at Mashaya Village in Jangebe District, Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Arriving at the village with advanced weapons, the attackers caused fear and chaos among the residents as they started shooting indiscriminately.
An eyewitness, speaking to the press, verified the attack and the number of casualties, mentioning that several others sustained injuries during the assault.
“The village is now filled with panic and uncertainty following the incident,” he shared.
As of now, the police authorities have not released an official statement about the incident. Attempts to contact the Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, Yazid Abubakar, for verification remained unanswered.
