Four Individuals Arraigned by Police Over Alleged Assault Incident

In Lagos, four men, all 21 years old, were brought before the court by the Police for reportedly causing injury to another individual’s right shoulder.

Mudashiru Ibrahim, John Agidingbi, Moshood Usman, and Thankgod Simon, with unidentified addresses, are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, assault, and deliberate property damage.

Despite the charges, the defendants entered a plea of not guilty.

According to SP Kehinde Ajayi, the prosecutor, the defendants allegedly carried out the offenses on March 9 at Oko-oba, Orile Agege, Lagos State.

The prosecutor claimed that the defendants used a cutlass to assault Mr. Babatunde Yusuf, causing an injury to his right shoulder and harm to other parts of his body.

Furthermore, Ajayi mentioned, “The defendants also vandalized security lights, a snooker board, and several tables that belong to Mr. Jimoh Fatai.”

These actions are said to be in violation of Section 411, 173, and 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Chief Magistrate Mrs. Ejiro Kubeinje granted each defendant bail in the amount of N100,000 along with two sureties.

The case has been adjourned by Kubeinje until April 17 for the next hearing.
