Attempting to make his mark, Ajao Samson, who previously held the position of Students Union President at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, is endeavoring to set a fresh Guinness World Record.
In a bid to achieve this feat, Ajao aims to break the record for the longest continuous reading session with an impressive 214-hour marathon.
His intention to undertake this ambitious challenge was initially declared on his Facebook page.
The commencement of the read-a-thon took place at Adolak Conference Hall in Osogbo on Monday, May 6, with the expectation to keep going until Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
As scheduled, the 214-hour reading marathon officially began sharp at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, as mentioned on his Facebook page.
At the time of reporting, he has already surpassed the four-hour mark and is steadily progressing towards the fifth hour.
