Former Manchester United star highlights what Arsenal must do to clinch EPL title over Man City

Renowned Manchester United icon, Gary Neville, believes that Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League this season hinge on their performance against Manchester City this weekend.

Arsenal currently sit at the top of the league table with just 10 games remaining as they prepare to face City at the Etihad Stadium.

Last season, Mikel Arteta’s side came agonizingly close to clinching the title after leading the league for an impressive 248 days, only to falter towards the end of the season.

Neville is optimistic about Arsenal’s prospects this time around, indicating that victory against City is crucial for their title aspirations.

Speaking on The Overlap, Neville emphasized the significance of Sunday’s clash, stating, “I believe [Arsenal] have to secure a win this weekend for a successful run-in.”

“One must always consider that City will maintain a near-perfect record,” Neville added.

“At this stage of the season, City could potentially secure victory in eight consecutive matches, a feat I don’t foresee Arsenal matching.”

Neville elaborated, “This is precisely why the upcoming fixture is so pivotal. While City might be dissatisfied with a draw, I think securing a win is essential to disrupt their momentum and instill the necessary confidence in Arsenal.”
