First it was Venezuela with the invasion and arrest of President Nicolás Maduro. Then, Iran with the joint bombings that the United States has carried out together with Israel to “annihilate” the Iranian regime.
The interventions carried out by the United States against its objectives usually always take place on the weekend, more specifically, on Fridays. This is no coincidence and responds to a very calculated plan by US President Donald Trump.
Why attacks always take place on the weekend
Julia’s World Order on the wave explained a week ago that the United States offensive against Iran was going to be imminent, “it is possible that we will see it next week or within two weeks,” explained Eduardo Saldaña. The reason? The important deployment of troops that the US had made against Iran: “You don’t deploy that enormous amount of military resources in the area if you are not going to do something. The same thing happened with Venezuela and Russia.” “We haven’t seen anything like this since the invasion of Iraq,” he explained.
And why always on Friday? Because the stock markets close: “The attacks are usually on Fridays because the markets are closed and that way, you control.”
Is a direct conflict with the US good for Iran?
Saldaña commented that Trump was surprised because Iran “was not taking any steps to negotiate.” Although, this has an explanation: within the Iranian regime they believe that the only way to survive is by entering into a direct conflict with the United States, because, on the other hand, there is Israel, which benefits from there being a regional conflict. “In Israel there are going to be elections and Netanyahu is clear that a regional conflict favors him,” added Saldaña.
It may seem nonsense that Iran sees a direct conflict with the United States as something positive. However, the journalist has explained that, although the Iranian regime knows that a conflict will weaken it, it is at the same time “one of the ways in which the regime can reinforce its legitimacy, appealing to nationalism and anti-imperialism.”
