Fireboy, the Nigerian singer, Shares His Attempt to Emulate Beyoncé’s Performance

In a recent revelation, Fireboy, DML, disclosed that he once endeavored to imitate the performance routine of the American icon Beyoncé.

Despite his efforts, he realized that matching the standards set by the multiple-Grammy winner was a challenging task.

Subsequently, Fireboy decided to focus on self-improvement and engaged in artist development to enhance his stage presence.

During a recent interview with RollingStone, Fireboy shared his creative process, stating: “From the very beginning, even when crafting my most melancholic tunes, I envisioned myself captivating a massive audience. The stage has always been my muse during songwriting.”

He continued, “Transitioning that creative energy from the studio to the spotlight has been relatively seamless for me. My priority is to ensure that I derive pleasure from my performances. When I’m enjoying myself, it resonates with the audience. I gradually imbibed wisdom from seasoned artists, delved into detailed studies, and immersed myself in artist development exercises like vocal coaching.”

Reflecting on his journey, Fireboy humorously confessed, “There was an amusing episode where I attempted to replicate Beyoncé’s routine. Regrettably, my attempt didn’t endure beyond two days.”
