Fireboy on Lack of Competition within YBNL and Relationship with Asake

Fireboy DML, the Afrobeats singer, has dismissed any notions of competition between him and fellow record label artist, Asake.

Addressing the situation, the ‘Peru’ hitmaker emphasized the absence of rivalry within their record label, YBNL Nation.

During a recent interview on Max FM, Lagos, Fireboy highlighted the collaborative and supportive atmosphere between himself, Asake, and their label head, the renowned rapper Olamide.

Fireboy shared, “In YBNL, I do not believe there is any form of competition because each of us is pursuing a unique path. We could all release our songs within the same week, and nobody would feel aggrieved. There is a genuine sense of camaraderie.”

“We genuinely care for one another. I remember a moment when Olamide and Asake assisted me with my hair. It was a significant moment for me. There is truly no competition within YBNL,” he added.

Furthermore, the artist mentioned that neither YBNL Nation nor its artists engage in industry feuds, as their primary focus is on financial success.
