Fireboy: No competition in YBNL, Asake and I are not rivals

Rejecting any talk of rivalry between himself and fellow YBNL artist Asake, Fireboy DML emphasized the absence of competition within their record label.

During a recent interview on Max FM in Lagos, the ‘Peru’ singer highlighted the harmonious working dynamic shared by himself, Asake, and their label head Olamide, a renowned rapper.

Fireboy expressed, “YBNL does not breed competition because each of us is on our unique path. We could all release our tracks within the same week, and there would be no resentment. We genuinely support each other.”

He went on to add, “There exists a true bond among us. There was a moment when Olamide and Asake helped me with my hair, which held deep significance for me. Competition is simply not part of YBNL’s culture.”

The artist also disclosed that YBNL Nation and its roster of talents abstain from engaging in industry rivalries as their primary focus is on generating revenue.
