FCT Police Deploy 30 Motorcycles to Enhance Security in Rural Communities

Enhancing security measures in rural areas, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has allocated 30 motorcycles donated by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to these remote locations.

A statement released on Tuesday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed this development.

To address prevalent security challenges like banditry, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth C. Igweh, has initiated the deployment of personnel alongside the motorcycles across rural sections of the nation.

In recent times, Wike’s donation of 30 motorcycles aimed to ensure the security and safety of FCT residents.

The Minister emphasized the importance of extending the reach of the motorcycles beyond urban areas to the remote communities within the nation’s capital, where criminals have sought refuge.

For swift responses in areas inaccessible by vehicles, the motorcycles, painted in police colors, were strategically deployed to facilitate operational efficiency, as stated by the command.

Expressing gratitude to the Honorable Minister, FCT, the Police Commissioner assured efficient utilization of the equipment to safeguard the residents of FCT, added the PPRO.
