Fabrizio Criticizes AC Milan Manager Pioli’s Treatment of Chukwueze

AC Milan’s handling of Samuel Chukwueze has come under fire from Italian pundit Fabrizio Ponciroli, who has criticized manager Stefano Pioli’s approach to the Nigerian international.

Chukwueze made the switch to AC Milan from Villarreal last summer in a deal that could reach up to 28 million euros.

Although he initially struggled in Serie A, the player has recently started to display his talents, much to the delight of fans who are eager to see him on the field regularly.

Despite this, Chukwueze has only been given four starts in the 14 matches played by the club since the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Pioli continues to favor Christian Pulisic in the right-wing position over Chukwueze.

Ponciroli believes that Pioli should adjust his tactics to include Chukwueze in the starting lineup.

“I don’t understand Pioli’s preference for Musah when Chukwueze is in good form and not being utilized,” Ponciroli remarked critically.

“In my opinion, Pioli has lost control of the situation by persisting with these choices. While it may be easier to critique them in hindsight, I always believed these decisions were incorrect from the start.”
