Eyal Megged Criticizes Benjamin Netanyahu for Harming Israel

Accusations have been made by writer and poet Eyal Megged against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, suggesting that the leader’s authoritarian tendencies are causing harm to the nation.

Megged, who was once a close friend of Netanyahu, believes that the Prime Minister’s desire to retain power by any means is leading to the destruction of Israel.

In a recent column published in Haaretz, Megged expressed his concerns, stating that Netanyahu may have transitioned from a democratic leader to a ruler fixated on maintaining control at all costs.

According to Megged, “His relentless pursuit of power may ultimately lead to the downfall of the nation, as he considers Israel his personal possession.”

Describing Netanyahu as a victim of grandiose delusions akin to those of a dictator, Megged highlighted the Prime Minister’s reluctance to step down and allow others to take over the government.

Comparing Netanyahu to a possessive partner who cannot bear the thought of losing control, Megged remarked, “His refusal to yield authority is akin to giving up ownership, a concept he cannot grasp.”

While expressing disappointment in Netanyahu’s evolving character, Megged acknowledged the leader’s previous dedication to Israel’s well-being and security.
