Executive Orders by Abiodun Establishing Two New Agencies and Prohibiting Illegal MoUs

Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has issued three executive orders to create two new agencies: The Ogun State Mineral Resources Development Agency and The Ogun State Landscaping and Recreation Agency.

The third executive order prohibits monarchs from entering into agreements or Memoranda of Understanding regarding mining or land matters in their areas.

A statement released on Saturday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, confirmed that the executive orders are immediately effective.

Executive Order One focuses on the establishment of the Ogun State Mineral Resources Development Agency, aiming to responsibly explore the state’s mineral resources while ensuring environmental sustainability.

Executive Order Two establishes the Ogun State Landscaping and Recreation Agency to maintain parks and recreational centers across the state, aligning with the government’s environmental initiatives.

Additionally, Executive Order Three prohibits Traditional Rulers in Ogun State from engaging in any form of agreements related to mining or land matters to prevent circumvention of government processes by investors.
