Next week, the South African national women’s soccer team, Banyana Banyana, will be arriving in Abuja to face Nigeria in a crucial qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Preparations for this highly anticipated match began at the Tuks High Performance Centre (HPC) in Pretoria, under the guidance of coach Desiree Ellis.
The team is scheduled to depart from Pretoria next Monday, reaching Abuja on the same day. Foreign-based players will join them in Nigeria.
The first leg of the qualifier is set for 5th April, followed by the second leg at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on 9th April 2024.
The winners of this contest will secure a spot in Group C at the Paris Games.
