Nigerians have criticized a certain Idris Ibrahim Kalgo for ridiculing and humiliating Labour Party supporter, Stephen Muoka, also known as Eluu P, over his occupation.
Muoka gained popularity after a video of him passionately chanting ‘Eluu P’ at his polling unit during vote counting on February 25, 2023, went viral.
The viral video captured him eagerly counting votes with the unit’s presiding officer.
Idris Kalgo shared photos of Muoka repairing car parts at his workshop and taunted him by suggesting that as a Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi did not provide him with any money.
His post sparked a backlash from many Nigerians who asserted the importance of respecting all forms of labor.
Some Twitter users labeled him a political opportunist and shared a screenshot of a tweet in which he claimed that the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku, had requested his bank account details.
Media personality, Noble Igwe, commented on the tweet, highlighting the prevalent lack of regard for honest work in Nigeria and the tendency to shame those striving to earn an honest living.
