Enugu State Governor, Mba, Receives Recovered Assets from EFCC

In a significant move, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has handed over 14 recovered assets to Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State.

During a formal ceremony at the EFCC Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, Chairman of the commission, Ola Olukoyede, disclosed that the assets recovered by the commission were forfeited to the Federal Government.

Olukoyede highlighted that the EFCC initiated an investigation into these assets as far back as 2007, ultimately leading to the conviction of individuals involved in the case.

Furthermore, he mentioned that President Bola Tinubu instructed the transfer of various assets – including real estate, radio and television equipment, and medical facilities – to the Enugu State Government at the EFCC’s request.
