Ebonyi Government Initiative: Boundary Communities in Amana and Ohanku Under Demarcation Process

The demarcation process of boundary communities in Amana and Ohanku of Ezza South and Ikwo Local government areas has commenced, led by the peace committee established by the Ebonyi State government under the supervision of Hon. Matthew Nwobashi, the Commissioner for Land and Survey.

Describing the process as successful, Hon. Nwobashi, the State Commissioner for Land and Survey, mentioned the cooperative support received from both communities.

He encouraged stakeholders to continue fostering peace in the region and highlighted the progress made so far, emphasizing the need for the technical team to finalize the action after the land measurements and agreements reached in specific areas.

Another committee member, Dr. Ilang Donatus, who is also the state Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflicts Resolution, praised the team’s dedication towards achieving peace in the area.

He elaborated on the state governor’s efforts in implementing necessary measures to resolve and demarcate boundaries in communities experiencing conflicts, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and acceptance of the marked boundaries in promoting peace.

Dr. Donatus further indicated that the establishment of the peace committee by the governor aimed at ensuring enduring peace across all communities in the state, mirroring the progress witnessed in Amana and Ohanku.
