The Easter Celebration: FCTA’s Commitment to Ensuring Maximum Security

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory can rest assured of maximum security during the Easter celebrations and beyond, according to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

In an interview with journalists in Abuja on Friday, Peter Olumuji, the Secretary of the Command and Control Centre at FCTA, reaffirmed the commitment to security in the region.

Collaborating with security agencies, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has overseen the deployment of both human resources and material assets to guarantee the safety of residents.

A substantial number of personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies have been deployed for foot and vehicular patrols to ensure a smooth Easter celebration.

As part of proactive measures to safeguard residents, undercover agents, including Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts, have been strategically placed throughout the Federal Capital Territory.

Regular meetings between the minister and security agencies, led by the Nigeria Police, have reinforced the assurance of a peaceful Easter celebration across the FCT.

The FCT police command has announced the deployment of over 2,000 personnel and material assets across the city to uphold security during the festivities.

Extensive intelligence and undercover operations have been implemented in various locations within the FCT, ensuring thorough security coverage.

Furthermore, EOD personnel have been strategically placed, particularly at places of worship and recreational facilities, to enhance security measures,” he stated.
