Drug Baron Arrested and 46 Bags of Indian Hemp Recovered in Katsina

A suspected drug baron known as Muhammad Isma’il has been apprehended by the Katsina State Police Command, and 46 bags of Indian hemp and other illicit drugs were seized.

The 30-year-old suspect was captured at BCGA Quarters in Malumfashi LGA of the state based on intelligence received.

The Spokesperson for the Katsina Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Alilu, stated on Monday, “Nemesis caught up with the suspect when information about his suspected nefarious activities was received at the Malumfashi divisional police station. Promptly, detectives, led by DPO Malumfashi, swung into action and succeeded in arresting the suspect.”

“Upon immediate search of the premises, forty-five (45) bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, five hundred (500) bottles of sucking and die solution, and some quantity of D5 tablets were recovered from his possession.”

“During the course of interrogation, suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and further mentioned Ibrahim Kisko, now at large, as his accomplice.”

“Meanwhile, the suspect and exhibits will be transferred to NDLEA for further discreet investigation, please.”
