The official launch of the Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation took place at the historic Dorchester Hotel in London, where the foundation’s ambitious programs were highlighted. The event featured esteemed guests including global music sensation Akon.
The evening saw the foundation’s official launch, bringing together advocates for social empowerment, politicians, and business leaders. Dozy Mmobuosi, CEO of Africa’s leading Agri-Fintech company, Tingo, Inc., spearheads the foundation’s efforts.
Projects undertaken by the foundation include a $10 million mobile prostate cancer screening service designed to address Nigeria’s leading cause of cancer deaths for men. The project has received widespread praise from communities, politicians, and business leaders, with over 100 medical practitioners currently involved.
In addition to healthcare initiatives, the foundation is actively involved in areas such as education, empowerment, and information technology.
Dozy Mmobuosi expressed his delight at the foundation’s full operational status, stating that the foundation’s ongoing commitment to Africa marks the beginning of an epic journey to provide assistance to those in need.
At the event, Senegalese-American singer Akon remarked on the importance of considering others’ needs, stating, “Life is like a hotel room. We are all just passing through. One should think about who else needs a room when we have enjoyed the best of it.”
The event also saw the presence of notable figures such as Former Governor of Anambra State and Nigeria Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi; Supermodel and businesswoman, Naomi Campbell; and British-Congolese Comedian, Eddie Kadi, as the host.
