Former Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado-Bayero, has expressed confidence that justice will ultimately prevail in the ongoing emirates issue within the state, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
In the midst of his recent dethronement by Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, Bayero has called upon relevant authorities to ensure a fair and just resolution.
Addressing the public from his temporary residence at the mini-palace, Bayero appealed for calm and adherence to the rule of law.
He stated, “I urge the populace to uphold law and order while awaiting the legal proceedings. It is crucial that justice be served in this matter, considering the significant impact of Kano on Nigeria as a whole. Let peace reign in Kano, and may the guidance of Allah bless the state with upright and equitable leaders.”
Bayero continued, “Fairness must prevail in all matters. The dispensation of justice is imperative, as no one stands beyond the reach of the law. We are committed to accepting the verdict of the law. I am grateful for the support and concern shown by all. As I have emphasized, justice will run its course. Let us continue to pray for peace in Kano State, seeking the protection of the Almighty.”
