Death toll in Kano mosque attack increases to 18


The recent Kano mosque attack has now tragically claimed the lives of 18 individuals, while seven more victims remain hospitalized.

In response to this tragic incident, Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), has vowed to reconstruct the mosque that was targeted in the attack.

Ganduje expressed his commitment to rebuilding the mosque during a visit to the victims at Murtala Mohammed Hospital in Kano on Thursday.

Of the 25 individuals affected by the attack, 18 have sadly succumbed to their injuries, leaving seven currently under medical care at the hospital.

During his visit, Ganduje offered prayers for the souls of those who perished in the attack and extended his well wishes for a speedy recovery to those still receiving treatment.

The perpetrator of the attack, Shafiu Abuvakar, 38, had ignited the mosque in Gezawa Local Government Area during morning prayers last week.
