Condolences from IPOB on the Passing of Governor Ezeife

In a statement released on Saturday, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) expressed their deep appreciation for the late former Anambra State Governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, highlighting his significant contributions to the well-being and welfare of the Igbo community. The group mourned his passing, referring to him as a father figure.

According to IPOB, Ezeife was a staunch advocate for the Igbo people and had been actively involved in championing their cause since Nigeria gained independence.

Today, Ezeife, who recently passed away, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Igboukwu Aguata in Anambra State.

IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, fondly recalled the wise counsel and encouragement that Ezeife often shared with members of the group, urging them to pursue their goals for Biafra peacefully.

Powerful’s heartfelt tribute read, “The indigenous people of Biafra, under the esteemed leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, pay tribute to Chief Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife. Our condolences go out to his family and all who were touched by his remarkable life.”

“On this day, as he is laid to rest, we remember Dr. Ezeife, the former Anambra State governor, as a pivotal figure who tirelessly advocated for the well-being and progress of the Igbo community. His support for the Biafra cause will never be forgotten.”

“Dr. Ezeife’s guidance and words of wisdom will be dearly missed by IPOB members, as we mourn the loss of a fatherly figure. May God grant the family and the Igbo community strength during this time of mourning and may Dr. Ezeife’s legacy continue to inspire our people.”

“We entrust his soul to the Almighty, and we believe that he has found peace in the divine realm. Rest in peace, Papa, and may your spirit guide us as we carry on your noble work. Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama, bless you, Papa! Your memory will forever remain in the hearts of the Igbo people.”
