COAS Lagbaja: Nigerian Army set to receive mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles

In a few weeks, the Nigerian Army will receive mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles, announced Lt-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja during a visit to the 23 Brigade in Gibson Jalo Cantonment, Yola, Adamawa State.

He emphasized that this delivery is part of the government’s efforts to revamp the army and enhance its operational capabilities nationwide.

Lagbaja also mentioned plans for the Nigerian Army Aviation to be operational soon, aiming to address security challenges more effectively.

While significant progress has been made in regions like South-South, South-East, and North-Central, he acknowledged the ongoing security issues in the North-West and parts of the North-East, promising aggressive actions to tackle them.

Looking ahead, Lagbaja expressed optimism about improving the overall security situation in the country with the support of the government.

During his visit, he highlighted the challenges faced by the troops, including inadequate housing, power supply issues, and poor infrastructure, assuring them that these issues will be resolved.

He encouraged the soldiers to remain diligent in their duties, assuring them that their concerns are being taken seriously.
