Change in FirstBank Leadership as Olufowose Assumes Chairmanship

First Bank of Nigeria Limited bids farewell to Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale, who has officially retired as Chairman after the completion of his term, as announced by FBN Holdings.

This announcement was made through an official filing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange Limited website.

Having served on the board for 12 years, his departure aligns with the tenure regulations for Non-Executive Directors outlined by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

With Hassan-Tunde’s departure, Mr. Ebenezer Olufowose assumes the role of Chairman.

Olufowose, who became a Non-Executive Director on the FirstBank Board in April 2021, brings with him a wealth of experience spanning more than three decades in the financial industry.

Prior to his new position, he held the position of Group Managing Director at First Ally Capital Limited, a prominent investment banking firm based in Lagos.
