According to Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, there seems to be a reluctance within the club to utilize younger players.
Ancelotti made a clear decision to substitute Arda Guler during Real Madrid’s recent 3-0 victory over Cadiz.
By securing a 36th La Liga title after Barcelona’s loss to Girona, the Santiago Bernabeu side celebrated their success on Saturday.
When questioned about his choice to bring on Jude Bellingham in place of the 19-year-old Guler, Ancelotti explained that it was due to Guler being fatigued and the need for increased energy on the field.
“Arda Güler performed his role effectively, considering his young age. I made the substitution because he was tired, and I required fresh legs to ensure victory,” Ancelotti mentioned.
Ancelotti disclosed that upon his appointment at Real Madrid, he was advised not to focus on integrating young talents into the squad.
