Call from Kwara governor for Christian unity

In a message to Christians, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq urges them to use the occasion of Easter to strengthen their faith in God and come together for the progress of the nation.

Issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor’s Easter message conveyed congratulations to the Christian community in Kwara State and nationwide.

Easter, the message highlights, brings to mind enduring values such as love, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and the victory of good over evil.

Reflecting on the legacy of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice, the governor calls for a deeper contemplation of these virtues at this time and beyond.

AbdulRazaq encourages everyone to use this moment to reaffirm their faith, unite for national advancement, and collaborate in upholding righteousness and justice.

He extends warm wishes for a joyous Easter celebration to the Christian community.

The Federal Government, under the auspices of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has announced that Good Friday (March 29) and Easter Monday (April 1, 2024) are public holidays for Christians across the country.
