Burial of C & S Leader, Abidoye, Scheduled for April 27

The late Chairman and Spiritual Leader of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Abidoye, will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 27.

This information was revealed in a statement released on Thursday by Remi Awode, the chairman of the burial committee.

Prophet Abidoye passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the remarkable age of 103 years.

According to Awode, a series of events marking the week-long burial ceremony will be held at the Galilee Land, International Headquarters of the Church in Orile-Igbon, Oyo State. Members of the C & S Movement Worldwide, both local and international, along with various dignitaries, are expected to attend.

The burial program will also be graced by the presence of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Daniel Okoh.

The sequence of events outlined by Awode begins on Monday, April 22, 2024, with a Service of Songs at the Galilee Church Auditorium, organized by the Youths, Women Fellowship, and Children Ministry under the theme ‘The Place.’

On Tuesday, April 23, the second Service of Songs and Tributes will be conducted by the Councils of Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, and Model Churches.

“Wednesday, April 24, is designated for Sports and a Night of Tributes, including Football and Handball matches by C & S College students from Ilorin, Kwara State. Additionally, there will be tributes from various committees and representatives such as the Galilee Land Committee, funeral committee, family and community representatives, UK and USA diaspora representatives, Unification Church, OAIC, and CAN Churches.”

On Thursday, the late cleric’s body will depart from the mortuary to Omu-Aran, Kwara State, his hometown, for a celebration and lying in state service at Ile Nla, Omu-Aran, and GSS Field, Omu-Aran. The body will return to Galilee Land the same day.

Friday will feature a twofold event with a Christian wake service and Praise Night at Galilee Land, as well as a Night of Tributes by the Conference Secretariat, Management Committee, Conference Advisory Committee, family, and Board of Trustees of the Church.

“Baba Aladura, Prophet Abidoye, will be laid to rest in his Mausoleum at Galilee Land by noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024, following a burial service at the Galilee Church Auditorium conducted by Most Rev. Daniel Okoh, the President of CAN. A guest entertainment session will be held promptly at the Galilee Land Primary & Secondary School Playing Ground,” the statement concluded.
